Am loving this skin...please finish - soon.

alwaysOpera 9. January 2006, 12:46

great skin! simple and clean!

Yrgal 9. January 2006, 21:26

Nice and simple and easy. You don't need the comments. You're just teasing... p:

NoSanninWa 9. January 2006, 23:50

Amazing skin. Only one problem with it: This text box I am typing in right now has no borders. I'd really like to see the dimensions of the text boxes (and similar items).

As for the things you haven't finished yet, I think that they're pretty simple. Just use a ^ for the up scroll button (reverse that for down) and so on...

4now 10. January 2006, 02:52

onward

lillitnn92 10. January 2006, 03:06

nice skin, plain and simple.

i likes!

Stoen 10. January 2006, 05:49

Nice skin

One weird problem though: The page tabs are a bit quirky. When they are in their upwards orientation ie when the page bar is placed anywhere but the bottom, the highlight state seems to be semi persistent. Changing the view port by scrolling or switching tabs fixes it until you mouse over the tabs again

serafins 10. January 2006, 13:45

after removing alot of detail background, the UI is flatten.

do you guys think it'd better to emphasize the borders of each bar? and give back some gradient to the toolbar background as well?

4now 10. January 2006, 14:19

not me - I like it as it is. with the background reduced and fewer (border)lines the Icons are very easy to find.

4now 10. January 2006, 14:30

I liked the inactive tab hover

konic 10. January 2006, 16:33

Well, this is strange but attractive (at least for me) skin.
I gave it 4, not 5, stars just because
I don't understand why I like this skin
Two minor comments 'though:
1. Active color for scrollbar is light yellow which I find inconsistent
with the whole color scheme/palette.
2. Highlight background color for the Main menu is grey, whereas for
other items is bluish. Was it done by purpose or just happened ?

serafins 11. January 2006, 12:57

RE: Active color for scrollbar
It is by default. I simply dont know how to change it. I cant find its section in skin.ini

RE: background color
I think it makes the text jump out more.

konic 11. January 2006, 18:06

Sorry to be so ...
Anyways, I think, icons in /dialog_images/
(at least 'info' and 'question') are out off style.
I use Yahoo as mail box and see these icons very often :frown:

sandyng 14. January 2006, 03:55

I voted it 5 stars!

nauticalsland 19. January 2006, 23:23

5 Stars!!!

best skin i have used in ages.. thank you VERY much for this! keep up the hard work

wxyz 27. January 2006, 09:22

Perfect. Nice clean style

ogaryu 31. January 2006, 01:25

Ximply the greatest skin
Only one drawback; it's not complete yet. As a heavy user of M2, I want contacts' images get "ximplified" instead of the nasty default ones. Round face, square face, triangle face... it would be excellent. When done, definitely this is my skin forever.

viktor_za 6. February 2006, 07:25

hellooo

gr8 skin. neat. minimal. simple.
just 1 request tho'...
could you make a "compact" version...
smaller icons, less browser real estate use, narrow padding, etc.
kinda like a cross between the "breeze micro" skins & yours.

it's not a complaint or anything, just a request that would enhance you excellent skin on my notebook.

10 out of 5 stars! a compact version would be 100 out of 5!!!!!

thanks man.

serafins 6. February 2006, 08:46

RE: vik_za
solution
1. Appearance > Skin > Icon Size : 80%
2. Extract the "skin.ini" in Ximple skin file (e.g. C:\Program files\Opera\profile\skin\Ximple.zip)
Open it with a text editor, find
[Toolbar Button Skin]
change the numbers of Paddings below,
save it, put it back to Ximple skin file.

4now 6. February 2006, 23:30

thanks for doing M2

viktor_za 7. February 2006, 09:29

hey serafins

i have tried the suggestion above... however, i am a bit of a dunce, and it does not seem to make any difference. :<

grrrr.

i have even tried copying and pasting the skin.ini settings from the breeze micro skin, but it was a disaster!

heeeelp.

please make a very compact version of the skin. preeety please

ta again.

vik

4now 8. February 2006, 01:25

limited editions! cool

like this one too

konic 8. February 2006, 15:45

This 'cloudy' background doesn't work for me.
Returned on the previous version.

serafins 14. February 2006, 10:06

I'm trying to make another Cimple.
[img]http://feb14.imghost.us/ywzguy.png
smoothed icons; a bit more compact

JarC 1. March 2006, 18:27

Nice skin, clean and 'ximple'

I'd like your permission to port it to Maxthon browser if you don't mind (keeping appropriate credits ofcourse)

_3476 13. March 2006, 09:07

I don't have to create my skin - you already did it in the way I would do it...

Thank you.

strat89 27. March 2006, 22:40

while bored out looking for a new skin ,I came across ximple and it caught my eye instantly!
Great skin
thnx

mujtaba 5. April 2006, 22:21

Thank you.

mujtaba 5. April 2006, 22:21

Thank you.

fille 17. May 2006, 12:55

Great skin. only to much simple :frown:

serafins 21. October 2006, 08:32

IMPORTANT:

the system is weird, I have no choice but replacing the old Ximple with the new Zimple.

Inspired by a blackout, so named this skin.

RADicaLMMS 4. November 2006, 22:27

An almost perfect skin!

One problem:

Its very hard to see the active or currently open tab, if it had a green or orange border etc, or had a more differtiating color or border it'd be more noticable. At the moment the slightly outlined border is not prominent enough, eye straining.

I hope this is enhanced in future versions so I can use it as my default skin. However I'll keep it for ocassional use anyway.

Well done!

AleksOD 10. November 2006, 02:42

Sweet skin!

I agree with the comment above, needs some more visual cues on the active tab.

Also, is it possible to make the buttons glowing with the pulsating light? I know I am asking too much and perhaps it is outside of Opera's capabilities, but I am just curious

Thanks for the beautiful skin.

serafins 11. November 2006, 11:30

^
more visual cues on active tab - Colored with light blue.

pulsating light - I guess it is unavailable.

AleksOD 12. November 2006, 05:31

Perhaps Opera 10 should have it... I am going to post it in wish-list forum!

Darken 8. February 2007, 20:22

Ohhh, really nice skin! Thanx!

DizzG 10. February 2007, 03:03

now this is much better...especially with the tabs

Lars_M 16. March 2007, 16:26

Great skin, really! But were's the 'network' tab in 'adjust options for webpage'?

thehop 15. August 2007, 06:23

My Favorite Skin ! (but the "BLACKOUT" 2 Version without the Buttons - Where is it?)
